British Knights....They're baaack.

Currently available in five different styles, British Knights ($70 and up) are ready to bring some 80's cred to any outfit. I just sent in my story about wearing BK in Pilsen growing up with all of the ganbangers around me. Had to stick with the FOLK Nation, because BK had a different meaning, Bishop Killer. You can submit you "BK" story HERE.

Adidas Opens First Store with Virtual Shopping Mirrors

This is what I'm talking about. I personally love Adidas kicks and their constant 1-ups. The Adidas Shop in Paris, France is the first store to roll out virtual shopping mirrors. In a nutshell, these mirrors let you select the shoes you want to "try on" and thanks to the cameras inside the mirrors, they merge the image of your feet/legs with the shoes you've selected, so you can "virtually" try them on. This virtual mirror has been developed by researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications and Heinrich-Hertz-Institute HHI, in Berlin.
Unlike a conventional mirror this one does not display a true reflection. Instead this mirror makes use of cameras that capture the feet and legs of the customer. The images are then merged with shoes thanks to a 3-D image processing technology. The system is so fast that it allows the customers to move in real time.

In a second development HHI also flaunted a system with which shoes and apparel were presented in the form of pictures and brief movies. This technology is even better than Touchscreen system as in this the user only has to point a finger at the product he wishes to buy. A camera captures the spatial coordinates of the finger and then determines the product at which the finger is being pointed.
